History Hounds | Mackinac's Island House Hotel: A Family Legacy

[History Hounds] Mackinac’s Island House Hotel: A Family Legacy with Todd Callewaert, Island House Hotel

Initially constructed for Charles O’Malley in 1852 as a beachfront resort, the Island House was one of the first summer hotels on Mackinac Island. The Victorian structure was rescued from pending demolition in 1969, and has operated as a family business ever since. Join the presenter to learn the history of this striking Michigan Historic Landmark and the family that saved it.
