Uniform print

$500.00

This beautiful lithographic print depicts Louis-Joseph de Montcalm, commander of the French forces in New France during the French and Indian War. It was created by Eugène Lelièpvre, a French painter and illustrator who lived from 1908-2013. His work centered on uniformology and military history. Among other things, he created dioramas for the Maritime Museum of Paris. We don't know how he came to create this work, or why, or how it came to be in our collection. But we're grateful it was saved, for its historical significance and artistic flare.
