Beaver Trap

Beaver Trap

$100.00

Traders used iron traps like this one to catch the beavers, whose pelts they would then peddle and trade for other goods. Traders hunted other animals, but beavers were the iconic image of the industry in the 1700s and 1800s. They were also very popular because their fur is water repellant. If there's one thing you want in a fur during Michigan winters, it's waterproofing!
