Beaded Cap

Beaded Cap

$100.00

Native American beadwork was usually reserved for apparel used on special occasions. This beaded cap appears to feature the Iroquois beading style, where the beads are raised above the fabric instead of sewn into it. This is an early 20th century example of such work. We suspect that the fabric itself was machined into shape, and then the beadwork was done by hand. "Bling" is not something new, after all!
